Guardsman FurniturePro
of Arizona began in 1996 when Brian Nowakowski and Ed
Bremerkamp decided to create a business together. For 23
years, Brian owned his own successful printing business.
Ed had been working in the photography field and had
just spent 10 weeks in a specialty wood class.
Around 1995, The Guardsman Company, manufacturer of
furniture finishes, stains and care products, had
just introduced the Guardsman WoodPro franchise.
Coming from the mid-west, both Ed and Brian were
familiar with the company, which was based in Grand
Rapids, Michigan. With their combined business and
wood skills, this new Scottsdale Furniture Repair
franchise opportunity seemed ideal. After
extensively researching the company, Ed and Brian
went on to open the first Guardsman WoodPro
franchise of Arizona in 1997. |

Ed and Brian
concentrated their new venture in Phoenix and Scottsdale for
the first few years of the business. They expanded their
Phoenix furniture refinishing and furniture repair services
to cover the entire Phoenix metropolitan area in 2001. At
the same time, Valspar, Inc., one of the largest coatings
companies in the world, purchased Guardsman and the
Guardsman WoodPro franchise system. Valspar changed the name
to Guardsman FurniturePro.
The Guardsman FurniturePro franchise in Arizona is one
of the top franchises in the FurniturePro franchise
system. With the long history and continued support of
Valspar, superior products and expert training, Brian
and Ed have dedicated their time, skills and energy to
grow their Scottsdale Furniture Repair business and give
their valued customers the best quality work and service
available in the Phoenix Metro area. |
